It had to be you

Heloooo everybody, I hope this day finds you well. Yesterday I had a little birthday (eek 35!) and would like to give a shout out and a big squishy kiss to all my family and friends who made the day so special. Pancakes in bed, a new apple purse (stuffed with crafty pocket money, yippeee!) a china mug off my son, a homemade Victoria sponge made by hubby which had to be at least 6 inches in depth and so moist and light ( I am not jealous phah!) so I am very happy girl or lady depending on how old you are reading this hee hee!

My card for today card leads very nicely to mentions two special ladies who sent a little crafty lovin my way on my birthday. I am blown away with your thoughtfulness, Kate and Aimes you are the best. In appreciation and devotion I offer this card as my entry for your favourite colour challenge over at a passion for papertrey and as most of the regulars here will know I have a fetish obsession love for all things kraft and so it had to be :D

Have a great bank holiday break everyone and see you Monday xx

Daddy cool

Hiya and oh what a beautiful day it is, even though it could be raining (as I am doing this last night) it is my scrumdumtious Niece's birthday today. Yoooo hoooo Evee - happy birthday my sweet - a big slurpy kiss from Auntie Em, Uncle Mike and big boy cousin Samuel - see you later cutie pie.

Anyhoo at the moment I am knee deep in Father's day celebratory gubbins for a craft fayre in a couple of weeks. These two cards make up part offering for (hopefully) enthused craft fayre goers. They both have the fantastic NEW colour soft suede from Stampin' Up! on them and to to my surprise I have used nearly a whole roll of the grosgrain spotted ribbon (it has been turned over on these) and it has to be one of my fave masculine colours ever - it is delish.

Have a great day & see you soon xx

Blue moon

Hey, hey well what an exciting night of pomp and politics and I have to say I love it all. I am so geeky and relish election time, what with the swingometers and kissing the Queen's hand!

More pansy like butterfly flower cards from the set I made for my Mum. I stamped some barely banana card stock with the fine flourish stamp from Stampin' Up! in perfect plum ink. Then punched out two butterflies and sponged the edges firstly with perfect plum ink - I gave it a good go with this ink and using elegant eggplant ink I sponged it lightly around the edges to give a defined look. Placed one on top of the other to make a flower like shape and pierced the centre to fix my brad.

Have a great day & see you soon xx

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up

Hello, hello, hello awh it's so great to be back with you in real life :D Well Butlins was great fun, oh my goodness did the children have the best time ever. Between all the fun rides, the beach, the penny slots and all those SWEETS! I am completely exhausted but happy and thought I would never say this but am really looking forward to eating normal fruit and vegetables !

The pictures today are taken from a set of cards made for my Mum's birthday at the end of the month using the fab Jo Dumbleton's tutorial for the card holder. Also have you noticed the flower, I was trying to make it look a bit like a pansy. The flower is made with Stampin' Up!s butterfly punch, now the origin of who thought this brilliant idea up is unknown to me so please as the title professes please stand up and take a bow whoever you are :D

I have used for the very first time confetti white card stock from Stampin' Up! and it is gorgeous, a bit like hand made paper with very delicate flecks of petal like pieces throughout it. I have also used the baroque motifs swirl in versamark in and then covered in heat n stick powder, heated and smothered in lashings ofr dazzling diamonds glitter - ooooh it's so sparkly.

I will reveal more of the contents of the set throughout this week. Have a great day & see you soon xx

I'm coming home

Whooo hooo a new technique and although I usually shy away from anything out of my comfort zone. I think that's what I really love about being part of the in love with stamping design team, it has pushed me to try new things and this is a first for me and that's BRAYERING. I think the possible intrepidation is the only bad thing I can say about brayering. Because once I had my speedball brayer from Stampin' Up! inked up nothing in my path was untouched with my demon roller LOL! I love this effect especially!

Go on, get your brayer out and come join us :D

I thought I would have a go of the 'every body's' doin it' paper flowers - they are everywhere at the moment and I have to say I love them all. I made mine with pinking scissors.

Come on over to the forum and join the fun. Have a fabby day :D
