A few scraps of memories

Oooh look at that - where did the week go?  I could say that scrapbooking took it's toll but I have had a brill time experimenting with different layouts and pictures and I am proud to say that this is my first (and not last) 12 x 12 layout.  The ladies at my class today will also be enjoying the 'Tea Time' simply scrappin kit from Stampin' Up! which is just gorgeous.

Rock you

This month's class (I had announced at the end of last one) is *gulp* scrapbooking and dear readers you will now I ain't no scrapbooker lol!  Once I had declared it so I have to admit I was a little apprehensive but secretly super excited with the challenge.  I decided to start small with a mini book made with Stampin' Up!s top note die cut from the extra thick card you find at the back of designer series paper packs and covered them in co-ordinating papers and card from the tickets and tags scrappin kit.

As you can see they are a great mix of papers and colours - I love it! and it makes the thought of journalling ( to be added later) and arranging pictures much easier for a newbie like me.

I hope you like my first toe dipping efforts and I will see you soon with the rest of the book.  Have a great day!

Daddy cool

Ah the trusty shirt card, what would we do without is especially when in need of a super quick father's day card.  I particularly wanted to use these papers to make a style council-esq fashioned shirt and tie which my husband use to wear back in the day.

I will be happily entering it over at Fab 'n' Funky (Father's day) and Charisma Cardz Challenges (Male card).  Have a great day & see you soon x

The wheels go round and round

Hello and welcome back to chez moi!  sorry for the interlude but a 100 pinwheels had me busy.  My son's school grew the plants and decorated the pots to raise funds for the school.  They looked fabulous all lined up outside the local church and many, many were sold.

The reason why I am posting on a Sunday is so I can squeeze in for the challenge (red, white & blue) over at a passion for papertrey.  Have a great day everyone and see you soon x

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Ink: not quite navy and versamark, card stock: bashful blue, crumb cake and whisper white.  Other: PTI baby button bits stamps, tea dye ink and button.  Clear embossing powder and cool grey copic.

Be our guest

I was recently asked by the lovely team over at Simply Stampin Challenges to be their guest designer this month.  I was delighted to to take on the colour challenge using (wait for it) cherry cobbler, tempting turquoise, very vanilla and tangerine tango and I know what you're thinking - binkin nora! lol but I was so surprised just how great they do look together.

I would love it if you pop on over to Simply Stampin where I have a few more projects on show and also I share my crafty 'life story' lol!  The design team have also been hard at work with their wonderful creations too.

Have a great super duper sparkly jubilee weekend everyone!
