A little bit of razzle dazzle

Well rich razzleberry! I have quite surprised myself by how much I LOVE this colour. When we had the sneak peaks of the new colours being introduced over at Stampin' Up! headquarters I thought this colour was nice but not really me. Oh how wrong I was - I have already used one 15 yard (13.7m) roll of the gorgeous polka dot grosgrain ribbon :D

Hope your weekend has at least a smidge of razzle dazzle in it - go on you deserve it xx

Sweets for the sweet

Hiya and happy Friday everyone. I think I may have gone a little crazy about this style of card ( you were warned on previous posts lol!) I am entering the "sweet" gumball cards into the crafty creations challenge this week.

The set below were a little bit of a revelation to me. I wanted to make a pretty pastel set of cards and thought of using chalks on them but as the image is quite small and detailed and I wondered how to apply it. I dug out my Stampin' Up! blender pen and painted the chalks on with it and it gave such a precise of soft effect - brill :D

Be warned again though these may not be the last of this cute size of card hee hee!

Have as fab weekend and see ya Monday xx

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Stamps: A flower for all seasons and occasional greetings. Ink: Black stazon, yoyo yellow, tempting turquoise, real red and various chalks. Card stock: real red, yoyo yellow, tempting turquoise, whisper white, certainly celery, barely banana and almost amethyst.  Other: My cute stamps: gumballs and rub on alphabet from stash.

Papa's got a brand new bag

First can I apologise for the poopy pictures. Gee, who knew how difficult it would be to photograph a blinkin canvas tote bag lol! Anyways I will be entering this bag and matching card into a passion for papertrey's die cut challenge and craftycatzweekly challenge of anything but a card (even though it is anything but a card and oh by the way a card hee hee!)

I had a few plain canvas totes and decided to rev up the ol' sewing machine. Using some felt embellishments I die cut, I run it through the machine with a LOT of fairly straight lines to look like grass and then a bit of zig-zagging to attach the pretty butterflies and cornflowers :D

Actually the card came first in the idea process and then I thought it would be good fun to match it with a bag - well a girl likes to accessorize!

Have a great day & see you soon xx

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Confetti white card stock and basic blank ink. Other: Papertrey ink Autumn blessings sentiment, wool felt, butterfly die and tea dye ink duo.

Mojo pin

I kid you not, mojo pin is a Jeff Buckley song and happy for me it goes nicely with the broach pin card I have for you today. This one is for a great sketch challenge that they have going on at the mo, pop over for a looksy and maybe have a go :D

I have had it in my mind for ages, how about a card and a gift all in one. After a very nice weekend, especially nice as my hubby has been extra supportive of my crafty endeavours recently I would like to give this card and broach away to anyone who leaves a comment for me today (I will post world wide). It's mambo No. 5

Well melon mambo that is, one of the yummy new colours from Stampin' Up! and these three cards show case all of the new colours. Which also include rich razzleberry and soft suede.

On closer inspection you can see I have used a technique called resist stamping. I stamped the image with versamark then used clear embossing powder and heated. Left to dry and then using a sponge dauber dabbed the ink over the image and wiped it clean with a paper towel to reveal the image underneath.

Hope you are having a good week :D

A whistle to the choir

Yoohoooo yes it's me well it was me and um it's still me hee hee! This is I at the craft fair last weekend at Swansea's waterfront museum. Had a great day and what a thrill it was to be in such a fabulous building. A few pics for your delectation of my crafty wares.

My husband took the shots of myself and these from the gallery on the first floor. On the Sunday afternoon we were so surprised to be treated with the sweetest melodic tones from a fabulous choir. Oh the voices were so divine and at times it felt a little surreal in a good way.

Oooh before I go I haven't forgotten about my customer candy, I will be back soon with the draw. Have a great weekend xx
