Ok computer ? well no it's blinkin not, aaahhhhhhhh. I speak to you now from my dusty office at work (on an official break of course;) to inform you that my one and only computer (aka Sheila) is very poorly and wont come on :( We are awaiting specialist brother-in-law help to see if he can revive her but alas I do fear the worst. Needless to say it could be some time until I am back in blog land and will only be able to snatch a few moments in work. Have missed you all so much and hope to see you really, really soon :D

Living in a box (tutorial)
Morning and welcome to a little tutorial of the Christmas box decorations from the other day. A few of you asked for a tutorial on how they were made :D
Firstly using Stampin' Up!s petal card extra-large double punch, punch out four pieces and stamp your image with white craft ink in the centre of the embossed square of the punch out.
1. Glue opposite tabs down. 2. & 3. glue down one flap and 4. leave as is.
Now glue all four pieces together as in order shown in stages 1 -4.

Now glue all four pieces together as in order shown in stages 1 -4.
Now you will have a square tube like (if that makes sense!?) shape. Glue down all four flaps on one side only. Punch two holes in the top two opposite flaps. Thread some gold elastic through the two holes, pull tight and make a bow and leave the tails of the thread to about 10cms and tie knot at the end. Add some pearls for decoration.
Hope that's as clear as mud for you LOL! Have a great day & see you soon x

Deck the halls
Morning, some tree decorations for you today. They were part of my recent class where we used the gorgeous colour combination of cherry cobbler and old olive to make some Christmas projects. I made these two types of decorations with Stampin' Up!s ornament and petal card punches. You can even store little chocs inside the square one. I was so excited to make these as this year we are having a real tree! We haven't had one for many years and I have treated my self to some glass baubles too (I know it's obscene but I do feel a bit Christmasy already - yikes!)

November rain
Morning and hope your spookish activities from the weekend went well. We had a houseful of little ghouls, ghosties and bats round at ours - much screamingly good fun was had. The children must have had a blast as they made me make my husband go to the off licence after they had left lol! I had definitely "earned" a small glass of vino ;D.
Today being the 1st of November must mean design team projects over at In Love With Stamping. My card uses the faux tearing challenge, this was easily achieved with an old piece of teared card stock and some ink - a really nice effect I think.
Hope you can join in the fun too :D

Fa la la
Mmm I could eat this combination up, well not really as it is cherry cobbler and wild wasabi (goodness I bet that would put some lead in your pencil lol!). But it does look delish together and it gets me on my way to being so good this year and not having the usual pre-Christmas flap owing to the fact that everyone expects a handmade card :D I am sharing the love with this little lot and have made some for my shop too :D
The possibilities are endless with this sketch (psst! I used a side plate to make the garland line with a chocolate chip stampin write marker and a stamp-a -ma-jig to place the stockings).

Colour me happy!
Howdy doody and welcome the glorious day that is 1st of October (nothing special Emma I hear you cry!) and I would reply nay! this is the day that us mere mortals may order anything we desire from the brand new 2010/2011 idea book & catalogue from Stampin' Up! - yeeeeeeeeehhhaaaahhh! I too would admit to having a list as long as a crocodile of all my must haves. Everybody who placed an order with me last month will soon be hearing the thud! of it hitting their hall way (I will post a link on my side bar as soon as I get the link later today).
First thing that strikes you is the COLOURS - wow! As you can see on my card, I used the luscious artistic etchings stamp set with baja breeze, crumb cake and pink pirouette ink how beautiful they are. Secondly the artistic etchings set I used is only CLEAR-MOUNT - double yeeeehah! It's so easy to place and make pretty backgrounds like the one I did on this card.
Happy occasions all round today as I combine the celebration of the new Stampin Up! catalogue with the start of fun challenges over at In Love With Stamping.

This I have happily produced for the current "hip to be square" challenge over at a passion for papertrey. I apologise too for the slightly out of focus pics over the last few posts. It seems that blogger wont let me change the size of my original clear pics without making it slightly blurry ??! answers on a postcard please :D

Mint condition
Morning and are you paying attention class? How do you get from that (above) to this (below) in a few magical steps hee hee! It was my turn to post a tutorial over at In Love With Stamping for the design team and I had been thinking about the things we either threw away or recycle. I had a few of the little mint tins empty in my "big bag" and so started the old grey matter twitching with what could be done with them.
As you can see this is what I came up with, a sweet mini trinket box or needle case (which is what I made mine for as I am always misplacing mine). Pop over to ILWS in the tutorial section and find step by step photos and measurements to make yours :D
Have a great day everyone and please let me know if you have a go as I would love to come visit and see your lovely creations.

When I came home on a Tuesday night
Before you say it, NO I have not been recovering all this time from my recent night out lol! I am no THAT much of a lush :D Wow I can't believe how much I have done since we spoke last. Craft fairs, parties, monster truck rallies, picnics on the beech, school uniform measuring and trying on (how much does my six year old that ha!) and many heady days at the river trying to skim stones (miserably on my part). Gosh it does it feel good to be so warm and tired that you find yourself falling asleep with a smile on your face - great days.
Anyhoo you are back in the room! and today we kick start back with a design team card over at In Love with Stamping and this one uses a groovy sketch. Lots of bling and pins for you too, mmm can you see the matching glitter - now how many places can you get your glitter to match your card stock, ink and ribbon etc - well you know that's why I love Stampin' Up! Talking of SU! we as demos would have the very first sneak peak of the upcoming new idea book and catalogue last night launching on the 1st October - to say it's like Christmas Eve for crafters is an understatement - oh lucky me :D Promise to share it with you all when I can.

Long tall Sally
Oooh, too big (sorry, blogger I think is having a mid life crisis lol!). A DL sized card for you today which was specially made for the current challenge over at a passion for papertrey. I can honestly say this only the second time I have EVER made this size of card! Great masculine colours on this too (not quite navy, kraft of course and very vanilla).
Off to the BIG Swansea Museum two day craft fayre tomorrow and Sunday and squeezing in a little Aunties 70th birthday party too on Saturday night - yeeehah! (alas I can not promise not to have a sneaky drinky poo either as it has been so long since I had boogy and bubbly).
Have a great weekend and see ya Monday xx

Wednesday morning 3am
Hiya! hope this day finds you well again. A mix of cards for you today, the one above a 4" x 4" (I know a square card from me!) anniversary card for my cousin. The one below I did after experimenting with some paper flowers. The flowers were punched with three different circle punches and then were cut once half way to the centre point and then slightly overlapped and glued to make them pop and layered on top of one another.
Ooh I should explain about the title before I go, it's because of my recent late night crafty sessions and then the mind bending midnight head full of stuff stuff. Ok off for a kip now (I wish) lol!
Have a great day & see you soon x
