Daffodil lament

Even though I only made this card last week, it has it's roots in the reason I stumbled upon card making.  You see I always struggled in getting welsh cards for my Mum, especially for Mamgu (Grandmother) and so decided that I could make them!  Happily four years later here we are knee deep in crafty stash and enjoying the pleasure of crafting more and more everyday.

This particular card though is headed for a St David's day craft fair on Sunday 27th of February at Swansea Waterfront Museum.  Happily I will be also entering it in to the stitching challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday.  With an added tip of mine which I found very useful, is to use your matted piece of card or paper as a guide when using a  zig-zag stitch to keep your line straight (although admittedly I have gone skewiff a bit lol!).

Have a great day & see you soon x

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Ink: Basic black, crumb cake, daffodil delight marker and old olive marker.  Card stock: Basic grey, cake crumb and water colour paper.  Paper: Delightful daffodil design series paper.  Accessories: Daffodil delight satin ribbon, daffodil delight flower button and retired felt leaf.  Other:Daffodil Border Unmounted Rubber stamp and welsh sentiment.

Well done for getting going and making what you needed. It's nice to see you doing Welsh cards. My children have both had a welsh teacher here in Lincolnshire and they can both sing Happy Birthday in welsh as she taught all her class. Very pretty card. Zx

It's really nice to be able to add your own sentiment to cards. Your card is lovely Emma.

A beautifully simple card - I love it!

The stitching is a fabulous handmade by me statement, as well as the welsh sentiment ;O)
