As promised  last time this is the cake my husband made for my Mum's birthday last week - it's was even more delicious than it looks, if that at all possible - double yum!

'Case' of you

ETA: this was my 'lost' blogger post from last week - which I found thankfully :D

Yes indeedy this card was to go with my mother-in-laws altered album from this post.  I 'cased' it from the lovely Caroline's card from here ( I LOVE this set - it's Stampin' Up!s growing green).  I used my pastels on these images for a change - forgotten how easy they are to work with.

Have a great day all x

Oh dear what can the matter be

Well, what a funny couple of days it has been!  It felt very odd with blogger down :(  Hey ho at least only one of my scheduled posts disappeared (where did it - spooky lol).  I completely scrapped it and started again with a new brooch card.  Goodness, I do LOVE Stampin' Up!s new butterfly die and I nearly kept this for myself!  I will however be putting it over at my shop later this week (if I can part with it hee hee).

Memories

Morning!  getting back in the swing of things since my hols.  I am still smiling to myself, fondly remembering the happy days of my recent trip :D  This little gift was made for my mother-in-law on mother's day.  You can see it's a little from the norm for me but she LOVES pink and pretty (secretly I do too but it doesn't usually like me).

As you can see, it is an altered photo album which I picked up at a local brick a brack sale where my friends Barbara and Ruth were running a table for their church.  I painted around the edges with off white acrylic paint then covered it with sewn panels of card and paper.  There's not a single stamp on this! (I know) it's a mix of rub-ons from Stampin' Up! and die-cuts.

I will be entering it over at charisma cardz 'no cards allowed', papertake weekly's 'punches or die-cuts' and lets craft & creates 'sew lovely' challenges.  Have a great day everyone.

Supplies:  Basic grey paper, Stampin' Up!s retired rub-ons, beautiful wings embosslit die, basic pearls and blushing bride card stock.  Papertreyinks doily die cut in vintage cream card stock and tea dye inks.  Martha Stewart crystal coarse glitter Other: pink twine, jewel pins and pink organza ribbon from stash.

Summer breeze

Hello! oh it's good to be back.  We had such a FUN time though.  Lots of dancing with my niece, steam train rides with my son to pretty little harbour towns (where I might have found a little nick nack shop where to feed my *need* I purchased a bit of ribbon :0)  We had such great weather too, for which I am so grateful.

Thanks also has to go to you for keeping any eye on this place while I was away with your fabby comments :D  Anyway back to the business that is card making and this one I made the evening I got back from Butlins (I think I may have been having slight withdrawal's!).  I will be entering it over at fabnfunky's no paper challenge, papertake weekly's anything goes with optional round thing and abc-challenges 2 images or more.
