I LOVE it really! - have a good one everyone and i'll see ya soon x

When I get older

Morning all and hooray for Monday! (I think if I cheat and say I love Monday it will be nice to me ha!).  A couple of stitched numbers for you today which happily falls into a couple of challenges going on over at crafty creations and abc challenge. The top one was a commissioned card for a friend.

Also they both were inspired or were linked somehow from previous creations.  The layout from my Christmas card here I used again on the concord crush (I LOVE that colour) card at the top and the uber simple one above was done by sponge daubing ink through a mask (see card here).

Hope you had a sunny weekend & see you soon x

Let the sun shine

Oh yes, hasn't it been a glorious few days - I forgotten how good the sunshine makes you feel :D  This card was such an odd one for me as it had a new technique some really old card blanks that I had never used and black!  It always take me a bit to get my head used to 'new things'.  I used the thwumping technique ( I got a feeling I might have made up the name for that) where I coloured the stamp with my stampin markers and 'thwumped another darker marker sporadically over the flower head, THEN spritz it with water.  Well talk about using up all my techniking on one card LOL!

Hope it is sunny where you are - have a great weekend x

Give 'piece' a chance!

Yippee! it's Friday and I will be deliciously spending some of it stroking some NEW Stampin' Up! goodies I pre-ordered from the upcoming mini catalogue launching on the 1st of April.  Fear not though I am super organised (for once) and have ready a happy little pile of catalogues to post out to my customers in a short while :D

A little paper piecing action for you today for over at a passion for papertrey.  Unusually for me I love the colour combo (might have something to do with the GIANT piece of crumb cake card stock slap bang in the middle lol!) but the rose red, old olive, naturals ivory, pumpkin pie and crumb cake look groovy together :D

Have a great weekend and see you soon x

Well this is about as blingy as I get lol!and happily used this months fab sketch for my design team card over at In Love with Stamping.

Daisy, Daisy!

Morning all, a little design team card for In Love with Stamping today using the scrumptious colour combo of baja breeze, crumb cake (aka kraft), rose red, whisper white and pear pizazz.  Had great fun colouring on the crumb cake card stock, if you mix Stampin' Up!s whisper white craft ink with any of their coloured inks it paints fabulously onto the kraft style card stock.

Have a great day everyone x

Picture yourself

Morning all and happy Friday :D  I thought I would share with you some of brooches that I seem to have a bit of a thing for.  A mixture of felt and fabric ones, you can see the details of the carnation & leaf brooch and tutorial from my post here.  I have to say that my favourite one is the turquoise, brown and green one at the centre :D

These are up in my shop too if you would like a nose!  Have a great weekend everyone x

All things bright & beautiful

Woooo that's a big picture! anyway today we start the design team projects over at In Love With Stamping.  I have to admit I was a little scared of this technique challenge which is called 'caught in crystal'.  It's when you stamp an image onto a window sheet or acetate with permanent ink and cover the back of it with crystal effects glue and then smother it in glitter and or re-inkers and sandwich between another piece of acetate.  Fearful for my own safety (I never come off well when dealing with glitter lol!) I proceeded to give it a go.

Well shiver me timbers if I didn't have a great time and love the effect of the technique :D  Hope you can join in the fun too.

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Stamps: growing green and occasional greetings. Ink: Black stazon, old olive and rose red. Card stock: rose red, crumb cake and whisper white. Paper: nursery suite DSP. Accessories: fine cosmo glitter. Other: acetate and sewing machine.
