These boots were made for walking

Morning all - how's it going? I am at home ALL day today (bliss), cwtched up in my crafty corner getting inky and picking dimensional foam pad covers from my person LOL! Today's card is to go with the candle I stamped from Wednesday's post for my mother-in-law on Mother's day. It's hard to see, but I used crystal effects on the wellie boot.

On Monday the design team (that's including me!) will reveal all of their amazing work over at the in love with stamping forum. The samples are awe inspiring, we have some top UK bloggers showcasing their work too - hope you can join in the fun and challenges with us.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday xx

Morning all, this little number is part of some mother''s day's projects I have been working on. It was also something very similar to what I demoed at my recent Stampin' Up! workshop and gave as a thank you to the hostess. It is a stamped candle and you can find a tutorial for this technique here, which is not as scary as you think, just be sure to only heat the image very quickly.

Just a quickie today (ooh matron!) but as per usual I am trying to do a million things at once and also working on my design team work which will be revealed next Monday 1st March (which is also St David's day) over at in love with stamping.

Two hearts

Good morning star shine :D and I promise you I didn't make the card just because of the title, it is a happy coincidence hee hee! This is my entry for the valentine themed challenge over at Aimes & Kate's blog. The gingham looks black on the pic but it is a dark blue to match the hearts.

Anyway no luck in the old frock hunting trip the other day. Well it was going to be a tough ask, as I was looking for a reasonably priced outfit which makes a big old gal like myself look like I could fit into a size 10 - phah! I will endeavour to carry on though and thank you to all those ladies who offered to take me to hand and rekindle my love for non craft shopping, I may have to take you up on it :D

Dedicated follower of fashion

Yoohoo Friday and a warm welcome to all my bloggy friends. Today's title is in honour of the fact that I HAVE to go clothes shopping today or tomorrow - bleh! As you may have gathered I hate clothes shopping, which my 15 year old self would probably have fallen down in sheer fright and disbelief of the fact that you can grow out of the love for it. Crafty stash shopping is a completely different story, obviously!. This is in aid of having to get a new suit for the upcoming royal (not) wedding of my cousin Paul at St Paul's Cathedral in a few weeks.

Any tips greatly received on avoiding the situation totally (believe me I have tried t'internet) and failing that recovery from the ordeal LOL!

Have a super weekend and see you on Monday xx

Anyhoo I would like to say a  big thank you to all my kind blogging friends who stopped by after THE rugby match with their condolences and 'kind regards'.  Yes thank you for kindly let me gloss over the result and not having to mention it on my blog LOL!
Have a great day & see you soon :D

Achy Breaky Heart

Hee hee this title makes me laugh. I was thinking of a song title for today's post, something with hearts in it and this song popped into my head. It's funny to me because when my husband and I were courting this song was EVERYWHERE and I loved and hated it in a cheesy sort of way. When I think back now of 'our song' we have our official one 'I've been loving you' by Otis Redding and our unofficial one 'achy breaky heart' and whenever I hear it on the radio it always makes me smile.

Anyway back to the business of card making lol! and my card's colour combination was inspired by some heart embellishments I saw on the shelf at Smith's. I would never had put these colours together in a million years but I quite like it.

Hope you have a great week and see you soon xx
