Well what a weekend - lots of fun at the craft fayre and a big hello to Rosie and Cara and all the fine gals there :D Also my Christmas do was great, I couldn't have asked for more, with great friends and good food festive fun was had by all :D

My card for today was a request from a colleague for a Doctor that was leaving. I knew I didn't have that ''sorry you are leaving , Doctor'' stamp in my stash anywhere lol! so I made a plea on the in love with stamping forum and Mandy (what a star: ) came to the rescue - thanks so much :D

Busy doing nothing

I wish! hee hee.  I am in full craft fayre mode at the moment and have only just remembered that we have our annual pre-Christmas do in work on Saturday night. Oh my, I need a lie down just thinking about it lol!

Another group of beautiful ladies who will also be busy this weekend, Steph, Aimes and Kate along with some very lucky crafters are holding a little make and take day. I know it will be fabulous (wish I was there) but I will be thinking of you all - hugs :D

It takes two baby

Good morning all, hope you are well. I decided to CASE myself! today hee hee from my card here. But with today's card I thought I would try using pretty in pink and almost amethyst inks on a Christmas card. Although it may be hard to see it is all glittery in real life with dazzling diamonds and cosmo glitters - ooooh.

Going shopping with my Mum today (I take a deep breath as I type as I take little pleasure in non crafty shopping but the day will redeem itself with a hearty lunch, a trip to the haberdashers to fondle things and then place my Stampin' Up order! ;D

November rain

By the bucket load! so I do apologise for the gloomy picture. Even with the magic of technology and me running quickly back and forth out the back trying to get a shot, this picture is not brill. At least the card is bright and cheerful in real life :D and can you believe how many brads I used hee hee ( at least a months rations). I used Stampin' Up!s heart to heart punch for the flower heads and popped one of them on dimensionals.

Sweet like chocolate

Helloooo all, look at these little beauties (I know I'm so modest ha! but it's mostly to do with the fact that I love looking at this ribbon and maybe stroking it ;) Some boxes to house the Christmas cards I made for my Mum from here and here. I made the base from co-ordinating card stock and then the lids with very vanilla card stock and matching designer series paper with a window sheet (acetate) stamped with white stazon with the Stampin' Up!s silent night stamp as you can see below.

If you look closely you can see a ghostly figure in the reflection from the acetate on the above picture which is me! -so tricky to photo hee hee. My husband said they look like a box of chocolates hence the title for today - I will take that as a complement (I think).

Have a great day & see you tomorrow xx

Hello, hello, hello how are you :D a little pixie pink card for you today. I was making a card for a teenage girl and as all the neon eighties colours are back in fashion I thought I would break out this shocking pink number. Combined with the luscious rose glitter (can't see all the glittery lovliness in the pic) and craft white ink I think it will do :D

A few special mentions today for some great friends out there, firstly to Kate (whoo hoo) who probably thinks I'm a loon after rambling on the telephone the other night but is such a kind and clever friend. To Burnice a big thank you for the blog award she very kindly bestowed on me :D

Hope everybody is ok, as for me I still made it to the craft fayre, even though the sand from the beach was travelling vertically across the main road - freaky looking. The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

Morning all and hope the week is going quickly for those who want it to be quick (me!) Another little super clean and simple Christmas card, I am in full batch making mode, slightly manic truth be told hee hee but I am on a mission. A big shot out and yoohoo to the exquisitely talented Judy, who has given me an award - thank you so much Judy, it's a real pleasure to be part of a great gang of talented buds :D

So many ideas buzzing around my head at the moment, also a few ladies asked about the 'poppin pastels' technique I did yesterday. Basically you stamp your image in versamark ink and then apply chalks to it. I used co-ordinating Stampin' Up! ones with a sponge dauber to each particular area of the image, then finish with a quick poof of the lips or use a soft brush to clear the excess chalk and you're done. Remember if you need any supplies from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue give me a shout here, also there is free delivery on orders over £45 and if you choose your items from the flyer (top left) you will get a free tag punch worth £12.50.

Have a great day & see you tomorrow xx

Working 9 to 5

What a way to make a living - too right lol! I wish I had just been working 9 to 5 over the last few weeks. I am pooped as I have been in at 8 and not home til 6.30, trouble is I am a night owl and seem to get loads done in the wee small hours. Well if there is a choice to craft or sleep, crafting wins hands down, that shows my devotion because any one who knows me knows how much I love my sleep :D

Well more little note books today using another scrummy combination of sage shadow, kraft and whisper white craft ink. A little close up below of a fairly new technique for me of poppin pastels, which has a lovely subtle effect.

Have a fab day & see you tomorrow xx

I would like to send a big thank you out for all your lovely comments on yesterday's card. I couldn't have done with out my (couldn't live with out it) Stampa-ma-jig which enabled me to stamp precisely where I wanted using my wood mounted stamps.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

Hee hee, oh dear you wouldn't believe the embarrassment and hassle this card has caused me. It all started when I realised that I hadn't taken a picture of this card and wanted to post it today. I have been in work at 8 all this week and it has been too dark to take, so in desperation I took the card and my camera to work yesterday to get a good shot. On my break out comes the camera with me running around the surgery looking for the 'sweet spot' to take it. Unbeknown to me I had been spotted by the Doctor half hanging out the window with two bits of copy paper, a handmade card and my camera trying to take a professional shot. LOL! if he hadn't given me the weirdest look! what must he have been thinking! I was speechless - how could I explain, what could I have said! I think we both must have thought maybe it's best to think we hadn't seen each other ha!

Hence the title for today, as I'm sure if he knew exactly what I was doing maybe he would have called for the men in white coats lol! I would also like to give a special mention to great blogging buds Aimes and Lesley, a big thank you to you both, Aimes for the fabulous blog award and Lesley for offering amazing blog candy of which I was the winner - yipeee. How lucky are we to part of such an amazing hobby and to have such generous and kind friends - so thank both so much.

Silence is golden

Well this is the last of the Silent night cards that I have been making for my Mum and hence all the silence and hush titles recently. I love how this stamp makes you look so good and also what different effects you can achieve, it also comes with a beautiful sentiment too that I have stamped on the inside (sorry I never remember to take any pics of the inside - doh!).

I hope my Mum will like them and probably won't realise I have used "my precious" new filigree brads, oh they are so pretty and shiny hee hee.

Sound of silence

Morning all, hope you had a good weekend. Our Halloween party was great fun, if a little crazy with house full of kids hee hee. Today launches Stampin' Up!s amazing Christmas Extravaganza deal. A fantastic offer of a free tag punch (standard or small) worth £12.50 when you spend £45 or more on goodies on selected products (click here for full details). Also I will also personally offer FREE DELIVERY on all orders over £45 too.

"This week I have been mostly been making cards using this stamp set" lol! I have decided to give to my Mum a pre-Christmas present of a set of cards that she can send. I have made several different types, which I will show to you this week. I thought I would try something a bit different as her style is more traditional.

I have used a new technique to myself on it - spotlighting. I've used Stampin' Up!s 1"3/4 circle punch after water colouring the image and covered the whole spotlighted image with clear embossing powder to give it an extra glossy sheen and popped it up on some dimensionals. I will be entering it into Stamp with Us challenge for this week with the theme being Christmas.

Have a great day & see you tomorrow xx
