Cherry o baby

Not much to report at the mo' decorating the house a little as I am off for TWO WEEKS - hoorah! I seem to be doing quite a bit of late night crafting too - there is something about the silence and my determination in the wee small hours. The only problem is you feel like you've been hit over the head when the little one comes skipping in at 6.45 am - doh!

We are all like ready, steady - camp at the moment too - just waiting for the weather, hmmmmm, c'mon sunshine :D

With a little help from my friends

Hello all, I couldn't resist making this card which was inspired from here. It was in aid of the recent move of my dearest friend Rhian. We had such a laugh helping her move, yes it was hard work but we were rewarded with drinks and dinner afterwards - I wish them all well in their swell new place.

I don't know about you but I am itching to place my Stampin' Up! order - I am so torn though as I still 'need' to get so many things from the current idea book & catalogue but also so excited for the things that will be in the new one, which is out on the 1st of October. I should be getting some demonstrator privilege sneak peaks soon and maybe ;D I will let you in on a few secrets - eeeeeee.

Time slippping awayeaeaea

Phew, I am just in time to submit my crafty offerings to a passion for papertrey's challenge which is to make a thankyou card. This has to be submitted by 9.00 am this morning - yikes ;D The card features one of my all time favourite Stampin' Up! stamp sets. For many reasons really and I am not just saying it because I am a demonstrator - it's not my style. It was only the second stamp set I ever bought (the first one being polka dots & paisley) and it made me look really good at stamping even though I had barely picked up a stamp before. It is lovely to colour or leave plain and is very affordable too.

Also this morning I would like to thank a veritable bevy of beauties, not one, but three very talented and thoughtful ladies who have nominated me for awards. Thank you so much, all of you. It really does mean so much, especially coming from such talented people who are, Abi, Karen and Lesley. Please stop by and admire their wonderful work :D

I come from a land down under

G'day all (sorry about the dodgy Australian - Welsh accent hee hee). It's all in aid of the birth of the little wonder that is Isla Freeman, who was born a few days ago to my cousin Paul & his partner Sarah. They emigrated to Australia about 18 months ago and as I am from a very small family - every new member is cherished :D I haven't made the card yet ( naughty me) but I will soon. We send all our love to the newest member of the clan from the Welsh valleys to sunny Bondai beech.

Sweet dreams are made of this

Todays card is made up from two sources of inspiration. Firstly from another set of my pyjamas ( I say another set as they are not the only pair that have inspired cards hee hee - see this card here) which consisted of the colour combination of barely banana, going grey, rose red and whisper white. The other source of inspiration is the sketch from Mojo Monday, which I turned upside down.

I have to say the biggest WHOOO HOOOO to Aimes, the most dearest and creative friend who was featured on the very prestigious blog of Nichole Heady of Papertreyink fame for her amazing couch card. Please stop by and admire her awesome work here.  Way to go Aimes - I knew you could do it :D

Hello, is there anybody there?!!!!! What a weird day yesterday, Mr Blogger was very strange. Sometimes I could see me, sometimes I couldn't, also some of you lovely peeps popped by because you were missing me ;D only to find that I had posted but Mr Blogger had not told you.

I know what you're thinking IT'S AUGUST! but I was on a roll from my previous post and thought, well I've started so let's go the whole hog Mog! I have let it do all the talking on this card, I don't think you don't need much else when the paper is as beautiful as this.

It's my brother-in-law's birthday today, I have already shown the card I made for him here, which is from my son, who says (as we all do) Happy Birthday Uncle Eee!

This is my contender for this week's Stamp with us challenge, which is simply a Christmas theme. A happy coincidence I had started to make this card already but was waiting for my Stampin' Up! order and my red gingham ribbon. I think this will be one of my mass production Christmas card send outs for this year. I may have to tweak it a bit and add a bit of bling, not quite sure yet.

Just to make you all jealous (sorry) I had the biggest bit of fresh out of the oven bread (hubby also made that - lucky me) with lashings of butter and blackberry jam yesterday morning - it was heavenly hhhhmmmmmm. Anyhoo the very lovely and super talented Clare has very kindly given me an award, thank you so much Clare - please stop by and say hi.

Blackberry way

You know when you make a card when you weren't supposed to be making one, well this is one I made a few nights ago. I had put all my crafty things away ( I am such a good girl!) apart from some clear buttons when a little thought came into my mind about punching out some old text paper and placing it behind them. Well that was it , one thing led to another and hey presto my card was born and my crafty corner was back to its usual hectic self lol!

Thought you would like to see the finished conserve after our ( I say 'our' although hubbie concocted it all, I made the jar look all pretty!) jam making day. These little beauties will be handed out to grateful family members in due course.

We're jammin.....

....hope you like jammin too :D I know it's the loony lady again and what's with the weird titles hee hee. Gather round and let me tell you. When I came home yesterday I was greeted with the most delightful waft of such a fruity concoction it made my heart a flutter! I'll explain more, last week the Fuges (Son, Hubby & moi) went on our yearly blackberry jaunt and came home with 4 ice cream tubs full to the brim of the juciest blackberries. Today was the day that the jam making machine (aka Hubby) started his mini jam factory. So it's jam for everyone hee hee.

Teenage kicks

Needed a broody teenage card today and came up with this little number. I was looking for something for a young woman (got to call them that now) but not something pretty and flowery if you know what I mean. I like the mixture of dark with a bright splash of a little something. Obviously she will be more interested on what I put in the inside it, but you never know I can add her to the convert list - I will convert you all in the end you know!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday everyone (hence the title hee hee). I had a fantastic weekend, the weather was beautiful the craft fayre was rocking. Hello to Monica and all the ladies and gents on the stalls and the wonderful people who stopped by my stall, who I bored to death with my passion for Stampin' Up!

This card I call the blue meanie and I completely snaffled the monster idea from the front cover of this month's issue of cards the magazine and is so quick and easy to make but looks such fun. Now that we have had two minutes of sunshine I am hoping to get out in the tepee on the weekends :D

Sweet home Alabama

This card is for my Auntie who will be moving in the next few weeks, not quite as far as Alabama but to Renfrewshire in Scotland. Before becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I had never bought any of their Stampin' around wheels, but when I joined I picked this one, the neighborhood jumbo wheel. It is such great fun and a really quick way to make a super card (well I think so hee hee).

A happy coincidence too that the fabby Lesley who is also in Scotland has very kindly honoured me with a blogging award. Thank you so much Lesley - please pop by as she has the cutest projects :D

Grey day

Somewhere beyond the sea

I am really getting into the colour cameo coral from Stampin' Up! It goes so well with lots of other colours. On this one the flower was so easy to make, I punched out a scallop circle then used the canvas background stamp on it then used my cameo coral marker to doodle around the edges. The button is from the latte collection and then I cut a sliver of co-ordinating card to thread through the button and popped it onto the scallop circle.

Pretty ribbons

Todays card is in honour of my wonderful friends out there. To the lovely Sarah and Christine for their awards - thank you so much, I really do appreciate them. Also it's for a special little lady, I won't say who it is or it wouldn't be a surprise lol! I have great plans for this layout, I have done some in masculine tones and even a Christmas one (eek - I know!) but I am waiting for some red gingham ribbon to finish it off. I have used a masking technique on it, I stamped onto a post-it-note and then punched it out using the 1" circle punch and then over layed it and stamped again, covered it up and so on (hope that makes sense - it does in my brain but that doesn't mean much LOL).

I know, I know, some of you keen eyed ladies out there will tell me, I have used this post title before. But can you blame a girl, how many songs do you know with pretty ribbons in the title, c'mon I had to use it again, especially when there is a FANTASTIC OFFER OF FREE RIBBON from Stampin' Up! this month. Pocket full of posies

There nearly wasn't a post today - shock, horror! I have had such a busy time at work recently and in the evenings I have been so pooped. I am also blaming all of you blogging ladies out there with all your gorgeous projects keeping me up until the wee hours on my hops LOL!

I was saved by this card which is from a 100 years ago, which I found in my little concertina file, the place where I keep the cards I am going to use and not sell or give away. This card was pre-copics and I just used my Stampin' Up! markers - which I think look pretty good.

I am also testing the water a little for some advice and opinion from all of you ,my friends. I have seen a few ladies in the states do a Stampin' Boutique and I was thinking of setting up my own. It would involve having a separate page on my blog for selling my projects and maybe some retired Stampin' Up! products in the future (if I can bear to part with them). It would be sort of like my own Etsy shop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Obviously with posting daily I have lots and lots and lots of cards and after the craft fayres and the family get their pick I still have loads left over and wanted a way to share with everyone - whadya think?
