Combining it with one of my favourite things - creating your own backgrounds with stamped images - I love the simplicity and speed of it.

Morning - hope the week is going well for you and if not - it's nearly over lol! I have a card for you today which I believe (I'm probably wrong mind you, but I have been doing this blog a long time) is my first from scratch following the scallops hand crafted rosette ruffly thing ( a la can't remember what their called). I LOVE making them so watch out you will be seeing lots more of them, along with pinwheels which I will be attempting after class today.

Alas dear readers as with all heroes there must be villains and as it must go too for crafty goodness there is the male card making kryptonite - meh! Morning all! are you back in the swing of things yet? I always find it takes me a bit to get back to the old routine. Happily though this little set helped me get my mojo back and I have to say they are a little 'busy' compared to my usual style but the Auntie it is destined for will enjoy them (hopefully). Well it wouldn't be me without a little kraft - al la crumb cake to start the new year off. Happy new year everyone! We had a lovely time and with the little one ready to go back to school and me thankful to go back to work lol! we are off!

Oooh hello! are you all getting ready for the festivities? It may surprise a few of my friends but I absolutely LOVE Christmas. Usually an old cynic lol! but this time of year and to the annoyance of my family I have the festive tunes on the radio, cd and tv! and don't stop singing. I have officially broken up from work for a week and now can truly be merry.

So how are you? has the 'I haven't bought a blinkin thing' Christmas fever hit you yet lol! I did recently have a small panic but now that has passed I can get on with the crafty projects ahead. This little lot is from my last class where we had great fun with the spritzer tool. Hard to see on the pic but the tree has a nice glow of spritz pool party.

Oooh I am cutting this a bit fine but I HAD to squeeze the challenge over at a passion for papertrey (Christmas themed). I do apologise again for leaving this place a little neglected, just crazy craft fair time of year. Yes indeed he came to town last night along with a magical musical parade which was wonderful. Anyway back to my projects today which were for (ashamedly) last months class, I know I've taken ages to post sorry. The technique was using blender pens and we made a matching covered lunch sack (a la chick n scratch here) which I made smaller to fit the cute 3" x 3" cards & envelopes.

Well that's exactly how many days in a week that would be useful to me right now lol! As you see can see I do have a good excuse for not being around for a bit, besides working full time and family stuff I have been to (what feels like a million) craft fairs. These particular pics are from my time at Swansea's National Waterfront Museum.

A few close ups for you now on some felt hearts and good old snowman soup, for which my son had to taste test lots of samples!

Today shows the finale from this seasons Halloween projects which were served at Friday night's party. It's my 'polar party' and here we are again with this fab set, together with the tickets & tags paper, die cuts and those antique brads which are stonkin! The trio of cards I have made with this set were great practice for my 'blending' techniques class which is being held today, where we will be using this set along with some ace techniques with blender pens. If I could insert a Homer like drooling sound I would do it for this paper kit from Stampin' Up! It's called ticket & tags and is seriously gorgeous! Although not obviously festive I think it works so well, this kit will also be fab for masculine cards to. If I get chance I will photo the kit (minus some pieces used lol!) to show you just how yummy it is.

Morning! as promised (even though a little later than planned) some new Stampin' Up! designer fabric which I have actually used! and not just stroked and put back carefully into it's packaging lol! It's called timeless portrait and it's beautiful. I made this brooch/clip by ironing some heavyweight interfacing onto the fabric then to cut the flowers I used Stampin' Up!s fun flowers bigz die through my big shot - how easy is that!

The other great thing is for the centre embellishment I used a designer button with basic rhinestones and pearls placed on top and added crystal effects glue on top and left to dry to make a super blingy centre to top it off. Together with the top note die to present the whole shebang - I think it all looks pretty snazzy!

Good morning and happy Friday everyone! I have for you today my projects from last Friday's paper crafting class. We did paper piecing with outline stamps (growing green from Stampin' Up!). I really made the ladies work for their cake this class with a bit of cutting out lol!

As you can see we made a lovely matching gable box (instructions from SCS here). We had had an extra fun class this time with an after show party (will post pics soon I promise), a raffle and homemade quiche - what more can a girl ask for lol!

Woot woot! can you spot the cheeky new 'in-colours' on my card today -they are super lush. Today I have been mostly using pool party (Kate you will love me forever to get your hands on this one lol!) which is the most perfect aqua, lucky limeade (a zingy green) and calypso coral ( a real pop of coral unlike any colour I've seen before). Together with (wait for it) pennant parade stamps and co-ordinating punch, I promise you these are THE BEST and I'm already using it everyday.

Forgive me but I have tried to get into the autumnal swing of things but I just can't seam to get into that particular groove at the mo. So another festive offering for you and I had such fun in trying to 'create' holly leaves with my Stampin' Up! punches. I found that they could be achieved by using the oval punch first and then using a trusty post it note to grab the end of the oval, take a circle scallop punch and bite the edges of the ovals with two of the scallops to make the pointy bits.

Yikes! it's Friday and how the week has flown. Lucky for me my weekend starts today and I have LOTS to do. Good morning! hope you all had a lovely break here in the UK. We paid our annual homage to a monster truck stunt show that my son is completely nuts about. Where some seriously crazy people set them self on fire and jump through stuff whilst riding motorbikes, tanks and monster trucks that crush a million cars in one fell swoop lol!

After all that excitement I can now tell you about my card and particularly the flower on it which is made from the wings from the two step bird punch and the 1 3/4" circle punch which I scrumpfed up to chew up the edges. I will be happily entering it over at creative card crew (anything goes), daring cardmakers (feeling krafty) and my time to craft (in full bloom).

Happy bank holiday Monday everyone! I'm still here and may have to resign myself to the fact that camping just ain't gonna happen. We have had some seriously freaky weather lately and it's either really sunny for 5 minutes and then torrential downpours for half an hour after. Hey-ho never mind I have booked a trip to Tenby on the train for a fun day out and then we are off to Clyne gardens with our beautiful Niece.

Ooooh look at me posting on a Monday - ooh la la! lol! Well I am on hols after all and even though we are not going away as such (unless we get a few nice days to get away camping) I am hoping to post a bit more often.

As you can see I am still on the distressed theme and I bought several of these frames as future fixer-uppers. They were a bargain at £1.80 each in the sale bin from mothercare. Was so pleased with myself too with the gems on this as the large one I plucked out of the large clear rhinestone brads and the assorted black ones were the clear basic rhinestones which I painted with with my blender pen and some black stazon refill!

Good morning all and you may feel a little deja vu passing over you today from this post here. Well that was the prototype for these projects. I always have a little play once I have decided what my next class is going to be. Then several versions will be made and then I have a dry run of the exact project to work out the practicalities of running it in class. The scrunched flower had to go for class due to the fact that it had to be wet and left for hours to dry!

As you can see we made a lovely gift card holder (tutorial from Dawn Olchefske here) and matching card. This class was based around using the Stampin' around wheels from Stampin' Up! and a 'wheelie' good time was had by all :D

Well back to the distressing tools and inks - happy days :D

This week I have been mostly using my stampin' around wheels! everybody give me a vroom! vroom! lol. Yes my next few posts will have a bit of wheelie action on them, mainly to practice for my upcoming class which encompasses the wheel stamps from Stampin' Up! I am so in love with the music notes wheel used on my card, I used blushing bride ink which is a bit tricky to see in the pic but so classy on the very vanilla card stock - yum :D

Typical really as my son has just broken up from school for the summer and we are hoping to go camping lol! Whoo hoo and happy Tuesday everybody. A little something for a special lady out there, Aimes a very dear blog buddy has made it into to the top 15 Gallery Idol paper crafting contest - I know isn't it amazing!. I can't believe it's my son's last day of infant school - eek! Yes he will be moving on to junior school the next time he steps back in the classroom - exciting times. I found myself a little short in the anniversary card department lately and made this card to rectify the situation. I will be happily entering it over at moving along with the times which have 'a favourite thing' challenge this week and as I have used felt on this number and can not bear to have it no further than a 100 yards away from at all times it had to go in :D

Oops, sorry again but what with crafts fairs and end of school stuff I just haven't been in my craft room - eek! So I have pulled a little flickr card I had made from my son to his father. I try and make the really personal cards have some theme that is related to them on it. My husband had an 'idea' after seeing them do it on spring watch to go pond dipping with my boy to see watch creature from the deep they could capture in the jar (and then release of course).

Yes, sorry about that. I had a mega craft fair last weekend with lots of friends I have met through my classes and Stampin' Up! drop by which was so lovely. It was a fabulous fair and on show you can see above were lots of bits and bobs which I have crazily been making for the event.

Pillows, pillow box get it? Oh well can't blame the tenuous link as the titles for my posts and find a song to match thing is sometimes a little head scratchingly troublesome. These projects are from my big shot class last Friday. Two lovely new ladies came too and we had such fun.

This maybe my last post this week (not sure yet) as I have a two day craft fair at the national waterfront museum in Swansea on Saturday and Sunday. It's a stunning venue, last year we had choir singing on the Sunday - glorious stuff.

Oooh can you spot a new toy?! yes it's my new mini milk carton die - so blinkin cute :D Lots of great themes you can make them for too. I had the fabulous tutorial for the carrier from Danny Graves here (thank you Danny).

I will happily entering them over at daring card makers and sweet stampin challenges as they both have a something old (those clips which I have been hording like a demon lol!) something new (mini milk carton die - swoon) something borrowed (hmm well this could also be the clips as I am only borrowing them as they will go firmly back in their little box after these photos are taken ha!) and something blue (the card). Good morning, good morning. A bit of a booboo card from me today, I'll explain. It was one of my dearest blogging friends Aimes birthday yesterday :D and of course a little crafty something was neatly packed up and on it's merry way including a card. Wooo, I know on a Monday Emma!? Well I had such a pants week of posting recently so I'll be making up for it this week :D C'or look at that embossing folder (*swoon*), I used it on sahara sand card stock (again swoon) and smudged it with whisper white craft ink. Am I allowed to say I love it!? You know when you make a card and there is a certain aspect on it that you catches your eye and the smudging and embossing does it for me on this card.

Well what an exciting few days it has been for good old Swansea City FC. I still can't quite believe it -we are in the Premiership - WAHOOO! We didn't manage to get up to Wembly but the whole family got together to watch the match - it was truly amazing.

Anyhoo back to earth and work with a bump. This little ensemble was from my papercafting class last Friday where the theme was masculine and the technique was using chalks. Good morning and Happy Friday everyone (wink, wink, cough - it's my birthday today!). Well lots of things going on over the last few days, it's my monthly paper crafting class today - helloooo ladies. Yesterday was my beautiful Niece Evee's 3rd birthday and in honour of her sheer beautifiullness and butterfly obsession I made her this card. I also bestowed upon Evee (amongst other things) her very first stamp set and ink pads (all butterflies and pink ink - of course). Memories

Morning! getting back in the swing of things since my hols. I am still smiling to myself, fondly remembering the happy days of my recent trip :D This little gift was made for my mother-in-law on mother's day. You can see it's a little from the norm for me but she LOVES pink and pretty (secretly I do too but it doesn't usually like me).

As you can see, it is an altered photo album which I picked up at a local brick a brack sale where my friends Barbara and Ruth were running a table for their church. I painted around the edges with off white acrylic paint then covered it with sewn panels of card and paper. There's not a single stamp on this! (I know) it's a mix of rub-ons from Stampin' Up! and die-cuts.

I will be entering it over at charisma cardz 'no cards allowed', papertake weekly's 'punches or die-cuts' and lets craft & creates 'sew lovely' challenges. Have a great day everyone.

Hello! oh it's good to be back. We had such a FUN time though. Lots of dancing with my niece, steam train rides with my son to pretty little harbour towns (where I might have found a little nick nack shop where to feed my *need* I purchased a bit of ribbon :0) We had such great weather too, for which I am so grateful.

Thanks also has to go to you for keeping any eye on this place while I was away with your fabby comments :D Anyway back to the business that is card making and this one I made the evening I got back from Butlins (I think I may have been having slight withdrawal's!). Well it may look like I planned this and you'd be right lol! With lots of wedding and flower challenges out there I thought it would be perfect to post this card today. I have such fond memories of previous royal weddings with nostalgic scenes of street parties and flags when I was small - happy days. I will be entering it over at a passion for papertrey, lets create and stampin for the weekend.

I have class this morning in which my husband has made seed cake and an apple madeira cake for the occasion - lucky us :D Have a wonderful day everyone however you celebrate.

It makes me chuckle as I think of when I gave these to my niece and son on Sunday. I don't know if they could quite believe that these were carrots with sweets inside them hee hee! The little buckets came in so handy too, as after they had eaten the contents they proceeded to fill them with the the findings of the the Easter egg hunt in the garden.

Lots of challenges with an Easter theme too, I will be entering these over at cupcake craft, my time to craft and sweet stampin challenges.

Morning! I am feeling decidedly pleased with myself about this card - you know why? Well I am going to be totally honest with you and admit that it took me 4 years to learn how to tie a half decent bow! I know I just couldn't comfortably do one without tying them a hundred times before giving up. So since I got the hang of them I challenged myself to learn how to do a double bow - eek! Thankfully after watching several YouTube instructional videos I decided to have a go and I have to say I really like the effect. I would love to hear if you too have conquered any crafting demons.

This card makes me think of chocolate coffee cake and luckily for me choccy is theme over at moving along with the times. Have a great day and see you soon x

Howdydoody! friends :D and can you tell by my upbeat greeting that today is a special day! Yes it's my son's 7th birthday (see goofy picture below! - awh bless he's lost even more teeth since that pic was taken). Happy birthday Samuel my crazy little frog!.

Yes indeed, I have no excuse for my tardiness apart from sheer laziness lol! We have had such a busy few days, a craft fair all day Saturday and trip to the circus on Sunday. We were all so tired Sunday evening we cwtched up on the settee and dozed on and off while the golf was on!

A small square card from me today - I know something different!. Along with the 'indoor' pictures (only had time to do this as it was a make it and take it birthday card), no time for waiting for nice weather and posing outside shots lol!

I thought it looked a bit like a window box after I had made it. I used some ruffly loveliness with the new pear pizazz seam binding from Stampin' Up! - yum.
